Rani laxmi bai of jhansi is one of them.Rani laxmi bai was born onnovember 1, 1835 in a noble family of maharashtra.Her father name was moropant and her mother was Bhagirathi.Her mother died when she was only a child.In her childhood she was called by the name of ''manoo''. She was fond of horse - riding , sword fighting andshooting. She was tall,strong and beautiful.Her father look keen interes in givingher the best education in every field.She was bold and always sided justice and freedom.

Laxmi bai was married to gangadher rao, the ruler of jhansi.Thus she became rane laxmi bai of jhansi.As a queen she took a keen interest in military training.She had no childso she adopted damoder rao as her son.After same time gangadhar rao died.She became the ruler of jhansi.The engish rulers wanted to remove laxmi bai from the throne of jhansi.They desired the throne of jhansi for themselves.But the rani did not allow themto do so.She fought ahainst the british army bravely. she defeated the mighty british army in several battes.At last she sacrificed her life while fighting bravely near the fort of gwallior. we can see there an impressive monument raised in her ho nour and memory.

Rani laxmi bai was fearless, brave , an able administrator and a great patriot.She herself was a great fighter.Her empire was free from bad elements.The hindus and the cruelty of the british rule in india.She took an active part in the struggle for freedom of india and sacrificed herself for it.In short,I admire her for her courage and sacrifice.She has left a never-dying fme behind her.
